Family Travel Bucket List

We’ve done so much traveling as a childless couple and now that we get to travel as a family I’m itching to go to ALL the places (at once if I could!). But the places that are big on our bucket list are probably going to be the ones we tackle first. It’s easier to travel with the kiddos while their little (schedule wise) so it’s a good time to take advantage before we have to plan our trips around school and sports and such. These are some of the trips we plan on taking in 2025. Have you been to any of these places with your family? What was your favorite?

Iceland

We went to Iceland in 2018 as a couple and it is one of our favorite places ever! It’s like you’re on a different planet. The views and natural attractions are breathtaking. I can’t wait to take our kids here for them to experience this amazing country.

Tokyo

I have have have to go to Tokyo and see the cherry blossoms. That has been on my bucket list for years and I know my children will be in awe of them too. Japan has always been a place I wanted to visit and even though it seems like it’s a little crowded and tricky to navigate with children, were up for the challenge!

Cartagena

Cartagena is actually another place I have wanted to visit for a while. It seems so rich in culture and vibrant with life. I’ve heard great things about this city and I’m itching to visit. I actaully planned to go here right before I got pregnant with my first born but obviosuly plans got changed!

Merida

Merida would have never been on list before but it’s rated as the second safest city in the Americas and I have close friends that have moved there so now I’m really curios to visit and see its appeal.

Grand Canyon

Few places have put us in awe and the Grand Canyon is definitely one of them. Being from the Sates you kind of take visiting it for granted but when we finally went there we couldn’t believe how Grand (pun intended) it actually was. It left us awe struck by its beauty. I could have stayed and stared at it for days haha. It’s definitely a trip we want to take with the girls.

Costa Rica

I went to Costa Rica in 2017 with my friend on a girls trip and boy do I love this country! The way they peserve nature and incoportate their homes and resorts into the land is so beauitful. It’s a special place I know my family will love.

Hawaii

We’ve been to Hawaii a few times as a couple and it never disappoints. We usually opt for the Big Island because it’s so beautiful and has so many natural attractions. Hawaii really is a special place and I love learning about the culture. Although it is a US State it feels like a foreign country and I really appreciate and respect the natives for trying to keep the culture alive. We’ve only been to Ohau and the Big Isalnd so we’re hoping to visit some other islands next year!

SWITZERLAND

I NEED to see the Swiss Alps in person. That is all.

CUBA

I went to Cuba in 2019 with my family and really loved it. I know people have mixed reviews on Cuba but in my experience we came across some very warm people and I was suprised by it’s diverisrty. I may chop up my experience to a wonderful airbnb host with whom I would definietly stay with again. She really made our experience special. We stayed HERE.
